JJeremy has been around the sport since Junior High, he was a 4 year letter winner in High School and competed 2 years in college. He competed in the 110 Hurdles, LJ, HJ, the 4x100m, and 4x400m relays. He qualified for the State Meet 2 years in HJ and LJ. Jeremy set the school record in Long Jump his senior year. As a team, North Bend, won the Conference Championship Meet 3 years. He was a team captain his Junior and Senior years.
Jeremy went on to compete at Wayne State College for one year before transferring to University of Nebraska @ Kearney his second year of college. He competed in HJ, LJ, and relays at both colleges. After competing in his sophomore year of college Jeremy had to stop competing due to a back injury.
After the injury Jeremy went on to complete the requirements for USATF Level 1 coaching certificate in 2000. He was a student coach in Kearney while finishing his degree. Now he enjoys coaching the youth age groups. His goal is to introduce as many kids to the sport of Track and Field and give them the opportunity for one-on-one coaching in their favorite events.
Jeremy works in Marketing for Sandhills Publishing where he is a Territory Manager for the Truck Paper publication.
