Head Cross Country

Assistant Head Coach

Distance, Middle Distance

Sara grew up in a Track oriented family. She began running Junior Olympics and Hershey track meets before she was even in school. Her love for the sport lead her to a high school career that included four high school letters in both Cross Country and Track, four State Cross Country medals, with a fourth place finish my senior year, and three Super State Team acknowledgements, also a team runner up her sophomore year; four years of qualifying for state Track in events that ran the gauntlet of the mile and two mile relay, as well as the mile and two mile individual races. As a University of Nebraska-Kearney athlete she competed in both Cross Country and Track. Our Women's Track team was RMAC Conference runners up 2 years.

If she had one goal for this group it would be to take her many years of experience and love for the sport of track and field, and plant that seed in each of these young athletes, and then watch and nurture that seed as it blossoms with their individual talents.

Sara has been the head starter for most LPS Cross Country and LPS track meets. She has been a member of the NSAA starting crew. She is one of the very few female starters in the area. She is a member of the Husker Track Officials Association and starts many Husker meets and also works as a starting clerk.

In 2010, Sara (Farrand) began a life together with Devis Sinani. and in October of 2012 she had her first son.
