Will Scheideler Breaks the State Record

Will Scheideler Records Two Gold and a Bronze; Chris Hatch Two Gold; Lindsay Key, Silver; Dillon Forst, Silver; James Ford Silver; Kelsie Roth and Bailey Roth, Bronze

Bellevue, NE - I wasn't present for the meet due to a much needed family vacation but, I have to assume the weather was in the mid to upper 90's. Ten Jet athletes braved the heat and came up with 7 medals, 7 ribbons, 1 State record, 2 club records and 7 P/R's.

Will Scheidler lead the way with a state record throw in the Javelin of 130'03". That throw ranks him third in the United States. Will also won the long jump with a jump of 13'06" and finished 3rd in the 80 Meter hurdles with a PR 14.30.

Chris Hatch won the intermediate boys 1500 and 800. The 1500 time was 4:27.0 and the 800 time was 2:04.2. Dillion Forst brought home 2nd place in the intermediate boys high jump with a jump of 5'06". Lindsay Key also placed second in the bantam girls long jump with a jump of 9'10 1/2". Lindsay also ran the 200 and placed 7th in the 400. James Ford finished 2nd in the young mens discus with a throw of 114'07". Bailey Roth finished third in the bantam boys high jump with a jump of 2'8" and was 5th in the long jump with a P/R of 7'04 1/2". Bailey also ran the 400. Kelsie Roth finished third in the bantam girls high jump with a P/R leap of 3'04". Kelsie also competed in the long jump and the 200. Jay Kilpatrick finished 4th in the midget boys 80 Meter Hurdles and was 4th in the long jump. Braden Forst tied for 4th in the midget boys discus. Braden also broke a P/R in the shot put with a 6th place throw of 19'09". Nate Key finished 4th in the midget boys javelin, finished 8th in the 800 and 5th in the 80 meter hurdles. Jonathan Rife was 6th in the midget boys 3000 and competed in the long jump. Gabby Roth broke her own P/R in the 400 with a time of 2:00.9 and also competed in the 200 and the long jump.
