Chris Hatch Brings Home First Jet Gold and Bronze

Lincoln, NE - Nebraska Wesleyan was the site of a cold and misty day for around 700 athletes. The Lincoln Jets were able to capture 10 medals and many ribbons and lots of PR's. Chris Hatch has been with me since he was 8 years old. Chris and Robbie Morrison ran relays together since their bantam days. They had fun with track and the relays were a place they could have success. They both would finish around 30th in the 100 against 60 kids. Now, today Chris Hatch won the Jets first Gold medal running the 800 in a time of 2:06.9 and finished third third in the 400 in a time of 56.6
Robbie finished second in the long jump with a jump of 18'02 1/4 inches. Robbie also placed third in the triple jump. He qualified along with teammate Austin Juma for the 100 yard dash finals. Kendall Frantz and Drew Dahlin both cleared 5'6" both Kendall brought home the bronze. Drew brought home the silver in the triple jump at 38'11. The 4x800 youth boys relay team consisting of Craig Murman, Sam Zemke, Mike Thomas and Kelly Danahy finished third in a time of 13:20.4. Jenna Raef brought home the silve in the high jump at 3'02" inches.
The following people brought home ribbons and if miss someone please let me know. The official results will be out Thursday so I'll update all the P/R's, and their was many, next weekend. Luke Linder placed 5th in the discus at 56'4". Nate Key, sixth in the hurdles, at 16.90. Craig Murman was 4th in high jump at 4'02". Austin Juma was fourth in the 200. Rachael Gran was sixth in the shot put at 12'4". Lindsay Key was 5th in the long jump at 9'03 1/4 inch. Lindsay Key, Rachel Gran, Lisa Gran and Jenna Raef to finish 6th in 4x100 relay. Lacey Pickering finished fourth in the hurdles with a time of 17.0. The bantam boys 4x400, with teammates Sean Tomes, Taylor Poland, Nick Vuchetich and Bailey Roth, finished sixth. The final event was the midget boys 4x400 finishing 5th with Jeff Morrison, Jay Kilpatrick, Adam Holloway, and Aden Beck. The midget boys 4x800 team finished 4th place, including Jonathan Rife, Nate Key, Kyle Gran and Jacob Danielson.
