Miami, FL - Chris Hatch competed at Miami, Florida in the Age Group Nationals. Chris first competed in the interemediate boys 800 and finished 11th in the trials with a time of 2:04.67. Chris just missed qualifying for finals by 3 places. Chris followed that up with a 3rd place finish in the 1,500 meter trials with a time of 4:17.57. On Sunday, Chris held his ground in the finals and finished 3rd with a club record and P/R of 4:15.72. His rival Ben DeLay, of Omaha was the national champion.
At the Age group Nationals they do score the meet and with Chris's outstanding performance the Jets scored at the national meet. His 6 points put the Jets in a tie for 86th. Cornhusker Flyers finished 11th and LYTC finished 101st. The Cornhusker Flyers women's team were the national champions.
