27 Tied or Broken P/R's, 8 New Club Records, 11 Gold Medals
Geneva, NE. - Rain delays and heavy rain hampered the Jets all day. But, the sun appeared on thfie nal race,1600 meter relay, and so did the Jets. Having sat in rain most of the day, the midget 4x400 relay team finished first to receive the gold medals and t-shirts. The relay team consisted of Derrius Vick, Sean McClure, Jay Kilpatrick and Jeff Morrison. The midget 4x100 meter team of Kilpatrick, Morrison, McClure and David Peaslee also brought home gold and the t-shirts. Jay Kilpatrick made it a three medal day with a third place finish with a P/R of 14.9.and Vick finished 4th in the high jump.
Will Scheideler brought home gold and a t-shirt in the youth boys triple jump, with a P/R jump of 33'02". Will also scored bronze in both the 100 meter hurdles and javelin Both the triple jump and javelin were club records. Avrie Welton continued her winning streak in the high jump with a leap of 3'9". Christian Sanderfer won the bantam boys long jump with a leap of 11'11" and was qualified 2nd in the 100 before having to leave due to the rain delay. Darin Davis tied his P/R leaping 4'6" in the youth high jump and placed third. Madison MacLean continued to bring home medals in her specialties. Madison recorded a club record throw of 24'5 in the midget girls shot put while finishing 3rd. Her discus throw was good from a silver medal. Cicely Sanders brought home bronze in the bantam girls long jump and finished 5th in the 100. Erin Dougherty won the silver medal in the javelin while Anne Flesher finished third. Anne took off 42 seconds on her club record for the bantam girls 1500. Kelsey Roth had a good day with a P/R 2nd place jump in the bantam girls high jump. Kelsey also shaved time off her 400 P/R while finishing 4th. Jake Danielson continued to shine in javelin with a 2nd place toss. Spencer Welton recorded a club record in the bantam boys shot put with a 3rd place toss. Amanda Latsch competed for the first time and set 2 club records while finishing fourth in the shot put and discus. Zachary Edwards set a club record in the bantam 1500 and missed his own record in the 800 by .1 second. Courtney Sanderfer had the toughest race of the day running the long hurdles in the rain and finished 3rd. Other P/R's were recorded by Tyson Osborn, Gabby Roth, Alexis Dougherty, Lindsay Key, Rebecca Burson, Alex Scheideler, Andrew Barry, Jackson MacLean, Bailey Roth and Nate Key. Oliva Morris, Taylyn Watson, Welton and Sanders finished 4th in the Bantam girls 4x100
