Richardson brings home 3 medals, Welton brings home 2 Golds.

Lincoln, NE.- Fifty-two Jets went to compete on Mothers Day at Nebraska Wesleyan for the 2003 LYTC Invitational Track Meet. A total of 20 Jet New Club Records were broken and another 33 marks placed in the top 5 of the Jets Record book. A total of 41 P/R's were broken, 2 tied and another 12 new P/R's were set at this meet. Avrie Welton lead the Jet stream with 2 of the 5 gold medals. Avrie won the bantam girls high jump with a leap of 3'6". The bantam girls 4x100 meter relay team upset the Jaguars winning in a club record time of 1:08.3. The other gold medal winners on the relay were Taylyn Watson, Cicely Sanders and Oliva Morris. R.J. Richardson was 3 for 3 in medals. R.J. recorded a club record 13.6 for a second place finish in the 100 meter dash. He also set a club record in the 200 with a 28.9 third place finish. The Jet midget boys 4x100 team that R.J. anchored received 4 of the 6 total silver medals. The other members of that team were Jay Kilpatrick, David Peaslee and Jeff Morrison. Jake Danielson unleashed a 89'9" javelin to record a silver medal. The midget boys 4x800, (Derrius Vick, Jonathan Rife, Sean McClure,Nate Key); youth girls 4x100, (Rebbecca Burson, Liz Kester, Madison MacLean, Jenna Raef); Emma Gran and Kelsay Roth, bantam girls high jump; Cicely Sanders, bantam girls javelin; Madison MacLean, midget girls shot put; Jonathan Rife, midget boys 3000; Luke Linder, midget boys shot put and discus; Nate Key, midget boys javelin; Jay Kilpatrick, midget boys 80 meter hurdles; Kyle Gran, youth boys 100 meter hurdles brought home 20 bronze medals. Oveall the team also brought home 39 ribbons for 4th, 5th and 6th. Just an outstanding job by every Jet. Marcus Mallum ran a super leg on the bantam boys 4x400 meter relay with one shoe. Gabby Roth kept the fans entertained with her hula hooping. And the soccer boys were booted from the field.
