Seven Gold Medals at Pawnee City

Pawnee City - On a picture perfect day the Jets competed at Pawnee City and brought home seven gold medals. Thirty Jet athletes added 8 medals, 23 ribbons and 42 broken P/R's to the total production. Chris Hatch returned to the Jet with 2 golds in the young men's 800 and the 1500. Christian Sanderfer recorded three gold medals in his specialty's (100, 200 and long jump). Jake Danielson unloaded the midget boys javelin 115'05" for the gold and Avrie Welton won over teammate Kelsey Roth in the bantam girls high jump. Rachael Gran and Spencer Welston brought home medals in the shot put. Lindsay Key was on fire with two medals in the 400 and the long jump. Jay Kilpartick was third in

midget boys hurdles. Kyle Gran brought home the silver medal in the youth boys 100 meter hurdles. Kelsey Roth brought her P/R's big in the high jump and 400. Emma Gran took off 5 seconds in the 400 P/R. Wendy Leuenberger broke her P/R in the 800 by 20 seconds and also the 400 by over 8 seconds. Lindsay Key broke her 400 P/R by 6 seconds and the long jump P/R by over a foot. Jake Danielson was 10 feet over his javelin P/R.
