Jets Fly at Throws Meet

Omaha, Nebraska - Twelve Lincoln Jets participated at the 2005 Throws Festival at Burke high school. Creighton Morris broke his own club record in the youth boys shot put. Madison MacLean erased her shot put P/R to become the 2nd Jet all time leader. Madison came home with the gold in the youth girls discus, silver in the javelin and bronze in the shot put. Kevin Koch beat his P/R in the midget boys shot put by 6 feet and placed him 2nd all time and the bronze medal at the throws festival. Kevin also went into third place on the all time chart for the discus. Grace Barry doubled her P/R in the shot put to put her 5th on the all time. Grace also won a bronze medal in the bantam girls javelin. Josh Droud brough home a bronze medal and increased his 3rd place all time mark in the midget boys javelin. Sam Morris, javelin and brother Creighton in the javelin are now fourth on the all time charts. The Jets overall brought home 6 medals, 5 ribbons, broke 10 P/R's, established 7 new P/R's and placed 7 on the Jets all time chart.
