JETS TAKE HOME 52 MEDALS
Iaquinta, Bath, Church, Sanderfer, Callahan, Hoffman, 4x400 Break Club Records
Lincoln, Nebraska - The Lincoln Jets moved their 5th annual Spring Launch Invitational to Lincoln High School and what an event it was. The weather for the first time was excellant and the meet was very smooth. The Jets came home with a total of 52 medals for 41 athletes. Grace Iaquinta established a new Jets record in the 3000 meter run with a time of 13:38.9. Morgan Bath broke the club record in the midget shot put with a throw of 27'6.75". Max Church broke his own club record in the midget high jump with a tremendous leap of 4'10". Max is only 3" away from the state record for the high jump. Christian Sanderfer broke the club record in the pole vault with a leap of 8'0". Jackie Callahan established a new youth girls pole vault record with a leap of 5'8". Morgan Hoffman broke the intermediate girls 100 meter dash record in 14.6 seconds. The youth boys 4x400 broke the club record by over 20 seconds. The new record was run by James Maier, Tyson Osborn, Josh Droud and Andrew Barry in a time of 4:49.4. Thanks to all the Jet parents that made this event a classic.
