Omaha, Nebraska - A record number of forty-eight Jets went to Omaha for the annual Nebraska State Junior Olympics. The Jets broke the medal record of 74 medals. The previous record was set last year with 70 medals. The Jets had 7 state champions compared to 14 a year ago but, did manage to have 18 state runner-up champions compared to 13 a year ago. Twenty-five athletes qualified for the national Junior Olympics at Burke stadium in July. Those twenty-five athletes qualified in 36 events. Fifteen club records were broken and forty-one top 10 performances were estalished during the two day event. Congratulations to all the Jets on a super effort. Thanks to all the parents and fans for their support and help at the meet.
