Jets Participate in Early Mid-America Classic Indoor Meet

Lincoln, NE. - Six 2008 Lincoln Jets participated in the 2009 Mid-American Winter Classic at the Devaney Center. Jay Kilpatrick pole vaulted 14'1" to win the high school division. Reid Houchin brought home two gold and one silver medals as he ran the bantam 60 meter dash in 10.09 seconds, long jumped 9'6.5", and ran the 400 meter dash in 1:23.13. Max Church competed in the youth high jump and placed first with a jump of 5'2". Morgan Bath started the year off with a first place finish in the youth shot put with a throw of 30'11.5". Emilee Shostrom finished first in the high jump for the midgets and 4'2" jump. She was also the bronze medalist in the 60 meter dash with a time of 9.41 seconds. Jeff Morrison was the sixth Jet and he pole vaulted 11'6" to finish seventh in the high school division.
